Real-time sentiment and emotion analysis of news headlines. See how different outlets frame the same story and track media mood over time.

Why I Built It

To make sentiment and emotional framing in news visible and measurable. I wanted to see if there are trends in what emotions are portrayed in headlines from different outlets—whether some lean toward fear, anger, or optimism when covering the same stories.

By making sentiment data transparent and accessible, I hope to foster better media literacy and help people understand how news is framed emotionally.

What We Analyze (and Don't)

•Measure sentiment polarity (positive, negative, neutral)
•Detect emotional intensity in headlines (fear, joy, anger, etc.)
•Compare emotional framing patterns across outlets
•Track how sentiment shifts over time for topics

✗ What We DON'T Do

•Detect political bias or lean (left/right/center)
•Fact-check claims or assess article accuracy
•Make value judgments about which emotions are "right" or "wrong"
•Analyze article bodies (only headlines are processed)

Think of us as a sentiment analyzer, not a bias detector. We show you the emotional tone of news coverage—interpretation is up to you.
